Have you had the breast cancer screening in your home country?
In many western countries, the screening rate is more than 70%.
It might be a high morbidity in those countries, but also high awareness for the breast cancer and the screening.
Regrettably, it is only 20% in Japan for the screening rate.
In my country, it is common to have the basic examination by touch and visual inspection.
I assume that women hesitate to have the screening because of embarrassment, looks painful or worry about what if she found something wrong on her breast or simply,
have no time for taking care of herself.
And then I start to think about what kind of clinic could attract women to come for the breast cancer screening.
Uncomfortable? →Doctor and all other staff are female. In addition, we have no big sign with specialty in front of the clinic for your privacy.
Busy? → Take more time for consultation but shorten waiting time to Advanced reservation system and limited number of patients for a day we accept.
Varied life stage and style. → Available for the screening on all day of the week except Sunday. Also open until 20:00 on Tuesday.
Afraid or insecure? → Clinical radiologist explains the process before mammography examination
and also we are going to provide information through our blog regarding the screening and breast care as well.
We keep on doing all kinds of things we think it’s important to improve image of breast cancer screening and increase the rate of the screening for all women’s healthy and fruitful life.
